Baby Name Options #6 - Street Names

I've put off baby name lists for awhile because it's so hard to come up with good names for boys! Luckily, we live in the middle of what are known as Minneapolis' Alphabet Streets (most of which bear male names) - in fact, I drive past a couple of my favorite boys names (Oliver and James) everyday. In case we decide to pick a name on the way to the hospital, here are a few of the options we might come up with...

Emerson German "son of the chief"

Irving Scottish "green river, sea friend"

Knox Old English "round-top hill" This sounds like something Angelina Jolie named or would name one of her children. That's usually enough to take it off our list...

Logan Scottish "small hollow" When I was a kid, I always thought it was cool that my grandpa James lived on James Street...

Morgan Welsh "circle" or "sea" May have been a boy's name at one time, but in grade school one of my friends had a little sister named Morgan. It's been a girl's name for me ever since.

Newton English "new town" Newt! Too cruel?

Russell French "redhead"

Thomas Aramaic "twin"

Upton English "upper town"

Vincent Latin "conquering"
