It's cold and wet outside and I have a sick baby who is tired of being stuck inside! Instead of our usual walk around the neighborhood I opted for a trip to the local greenhouse. We enjoyed a nice stroll up and down the aisles, smelling herbs and looking at all the pretty flowers. Abe even tried to eat one! (Violas are edible, right?) We came home with a flat of flowers to plant in the front window box when the weather improves. If it improves... If it snows again I might just move to California!

Desert in Bloom
We spent last week in Phoenix visiting my parents, siblings, and nieces, Nina & Maya. It was only the second time I've been to Arizona in the spring - much prettier than winter when I usually go, and much nicer whether-wise than summer, which I've done twice. Abe enjoyed playing with his cousins, swimming in the pool, and just being outdoors.
We took advantage of the nice weather and spent one day at the zoo, a lot of time in the pool, and even made a trip to the Desert Botanical Garden. Apparently, we planned our trip just right because everything was in bloom!
