So I dyed some of Abe's old, stained onesies to reuse for baby sister.
The dye disguised the stains pretty well, although most of the onesies turned out a bit splotchy (see photo below). Sort of a tie-dyed look. Not terrible.
I followed this tutorial on MADE, although I missed the part where she said she soaked some of them for 5 hours. No wonder my colors turned out less vibrant than they looked on the boxes...
I used Rit powdered dyes in Fushia, Golden Yellow, and Sunshine Orange. If I do it again, maybe I'll try the liquid dyes instead. Anyone else reuse big brother's clothes for a baby girl, or vice versa?
My boss uses these dyes http://www.dharmatrading.com/html/eng/3796-AA.shtml?lnav=dyes.html and they are some of the richest and most vibrant colors I've seen with dying.
